A patient tutor, always available, to help your teen study for multiple exam subjects.
ExamTutor 24/7 gives your teenager real past-paper questions and a tutor that knows exactly how each one would be marked. It coaches them to the answer one step at a time, instead of handing over the solution, so they learn to answer the questions on their own.

Past papers are the best revision there is. Marking them at the kitchen table is the hard part.
No. The tutor works up a hint ladder, from a gentle nudge to naming the method to a worked parallel example. It only walks through a full solution once they’ve had a real go. If they just want to check an answer, it tells them straight away.
Every question comes with the examiners’ own marking instructions: the mark-by-mark scheme, the notes, and the mistakes examiners see most. The tutor tells them how many marks their working would earn, in plain words.
It lives on their phone’s home screen. Messages are short, one step and one question at a time, with a streak to keep them coming back. They can even snap a photo of their working for the tutor to check.
Three steps. No printing, no answer booklets.
- Pick a topic, or just askQuadratics, cell biology, whatever’s on this week. The tutor finds a real past-paper question on it.
- Work through it with the tutorThe question is typed out large enough to read on a phone, with the original paper and diagrams one tap away.
- See the marks, then go againThe tutor compares their working with the marking scheme, praises what’s right and points to the first slip without fixing it for them.

Does it replace a tutor?
A real tutor will always be best in the moment, but they can't be there all the time. This is past-paper practice around the clock with someone checking every step, whenever they want it. Use it between tutor sessions, or on its own in the run-up to the exams. Your teen can show it their working and get feedback as they go, just like a tutor would give.
Which levels does a subscription cover?
Both National 5 and Higher (Human Biology is Higher only). Your teen switches level on the home screen, which helps when they're stretching ahead or going back over the basics.
Which parts of the exams are covered?
Most of every paper. A few long-answer sections aren't covered yet, such as the English critical essay and the longest History and Geography essays. The app tells your teen which parts these are.
What does the tutor run on?
The tutor is powered by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, and is given the examiners' marking instructions for the exact question your teen is working on.
How does the free trial work?
Your teen gets the full plan free for 7 days. You add a card at signup, and the first monthly payment is taken when the trial ends. Cancel before then from the account page and you won't be charged. There's one free trial per student.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, from the account page on this site. There's no contract, and access carries on until the end of the month you've paid for.
Is this made by SQA?
No. ExamTutor 24/7 is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by SQA.
